Nationwide Conference on Hematology - Blood Transfusion 2014

From 8th to 11th October, in Hanoi, National Institute of Hematology - Blood Transfusion in cooperation with Vietnam Hematology - Blood Transfusion Association and Asia - Pacific Blood Coagulation - Thrombosis Association organized the Nationwide Conference on Hematology - Blood Transfusion 2014 and Asia – Pacific Conference on Blood Coagulation – Thrombosis.

 The Nationwide Conference on Hematology - Blood Transfusion is organized every two years. The conference attracted a lot of healthcare personnel, an opportunity for staff and experts to meet, exchange experiences and look back on professional activities of Hematology - Blood Transfusion in the country, make a practical contribution in the healthcare and protection of people's health.

Asia Pacific Conference on Blood Coagulation – Thrombosis is also organized every two years. Vietnam is a member of Asian Pacific Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis - a non-profit organization, a "playing field" for scientific researchers in the fields of Blood Coagulation - Hemostasis  in particular  and  Hematology - Blood Transfusion in general of the Asia Pacific.

This year, Vietnam hosted the conference, in cooperation with Nationwide on Conference Hematology - Blood Transfusion will attract the attention of many scientists not only in the field of Hematology - Blood Transfusion, but also the different fields of medicine in the country and internationally.

The conference is considered the largest scale and professional quality which surpassed the previous conferences. With over 800 domestic delegates and nearly 200 international experts; more than 150 domestic scientific articles, treatises and more than 100 scientific articles, topics of the leading international experts in the field of Hematology - Blood Transfusion and Blood Coagulation – Thrombosis will be presented.

Most of the conference reports covered all of the sector specialists such as immunity, genetics, molecular biology, stem cell, thalassemia, blood transfusion, hematology, coagulation ... There were many in-depth studies such as The process of data collection, processing and preservation of stem cells; Thalassemia screening process; Genetic mutations in diseases of the blood, ... Especially, there were many reports / studies of foreign experts which updated scientific and technical advances in the treatment of blood disorders such as Advances in anticoagulants therapy; New treatments for  immune thrombocytopenia purpura  in adults; Advances in blood coagulation and thrombosis; Future treatment of Hemophilia; Coagulation disorders in women; The problem of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism ...

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tri Director of National Institute of Hematology - Blood Transfusion, head of the organizing committee, said: "Hematology - Blood transfusion is ever-changing field and is updated each day; related, directly affect many specialties and specialties that related to the emergency. The common clotting disorders in obstetrical / surgical, techniques transplants, heart surgery or car accidents ... are in need of supportive of this specialty. So this conference is not only meant for Hematology - Blood Transfusions sector but also an opportunity for the related subjects to update progress in modern medicine - especially advances in diagnosis and treatment of coagulation - embolism ".

Vietnam Hematology - Blood Transfusion Sector is showing success through international cooperation in the diagnosis, treatment and application of various treatment regimens for blood disorders.

On the sidelines of the conference, there will be activities including: Ceremony of honor staff for achievements, contributions to the Hematology - Blood Transfusion Sector; Medal Ceremony "For People's Health" for foreign experts; Exhibition of products and equipment to support the treatment of diseases of the Hematology - Blood Transfusion, Blood Coagulation – Thrombosis.
