Seeking an administrative officer

Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our dynamic Global Fund Project Management Unit in Ha Noi as an administrative officer. This is a full-time position based in Hanoi.

VUSTA is one of the sub-recipients of “The Global Fund supported project on HIV/AIDS”, funded by The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. The target of the VUSTA’s project is to reduce the HIV/AIDS related mortality and improve the quality of life of people living with and vulnerable to HIV/AIDS in 10 provinces covered by the project via strengthening capacity and promoting the participation of civil society organizations and community in the national response to HIV/AIDS in Vietnam. The project is expected to run for five years, from 2011 through 2015.

Position: Administrative Officer (AO), VUSTA Global Fund Project Management Unit (PMU)

Reports to: Project Manager (PM), VUSTA Global Fund Project Management Unit (PMU)

Main responsibilities:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Administrative Officer provides administrative and logistic assistance, travel arrangement, procurement and inventory, cashier and other personnel assistance to ensure a smooth operation of the VUSTA Global Fund PMU and the Project’s success.

Qualification required:

- University bachelor degree relevant field;

- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience, previous experience working with non-government organizations/ development projects is an advantage;

- Strong ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and organizational skills and deadline oriented;

- Strong interpersonal skills and a teamwork skills;

- Fluent in English (spoken and written);

- Strong computer skills (Word and Excel);

Start Date: As soon as possible

Probationary Period: Two months

Salary:  Based on skills and experience.

Duration: through 31 December 2012 with possibility of extension based on performance and funding.
