On May 16th, Thai Binh Union of Science and Technology Associations organized the Conference of Thai Binh intellectuals in 2018.

In the past years, Thai Binh intellectuals have developed in both quantity and quality. By the end of April 2018, the province has 1,534 intellectuals with postgraduate qualifications, including 01 professors, 14 associate professors, 78 Ph.Ds, 1,363 masters and 78 specialist doctors. The growth of the intellectuals was 4.1 times higher than the population growth and 1.3 times than the labor force growth. This is an extremely important intellectual resource that contributes to socio-economic development.

At the conference, Prof. Acad. Sc Dr. Dinh Van Nha - Director of OMEGA Institute for Science, Technology and Training shared knowledge about revolution 4.0. In order to catch up the development of science and technology, intellectuals in general, Thai Binh intellectuals in particular need to  master new and advanced knowledge to apply in the work in a smart and effective way.  Revolution 4.0 has created opportunities for growth, but there are also many challenges and potential threats related to network security.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Vice President of the provincial People's Committee acknowledged and praised the achievements, efforts and intelligence of science and technology intellectuals who strived to overcome many difficulties and achieved remarkable results, contributing significantly to the implementation of socio-economic objectives of the province in recent years. He also pointed out the shortcomings that intellectuals need to make good such as the spread of scientific research; the general research and application, the low transfer of scientific and technical progress, the lack of initiative in the consultancy work.

To really enter into the revolution of 4.0, he suggested, in the coming time, every intellectual must constantly study, improve themselves the knowledge, being more active in accessing new scientific information, actively research and make consultancy to the authority in the preparation of the conditions, especially the training of human resources, material facilities to embrace, apply the achievements of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
