Dr.Sc. Nghiem Vu Khai – Vice President of VUSTA had speech at the Forum

On the occasion of celebrating the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations, on 3 July 2018 in Hanoi, the Association of Technical Schools of Japan (KOSEN) and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam co-organized "KOSEN FORUM in Viet Nam"

KOSEN receives and supports the training of engineers from other countries, especially Asian countries and currently associates with government agencies and educational institutions in these countries to apply the KOSEN Japanese education model abroad.

KOSEN has implemented a project supporting the training of human resources in heavy industry and chemical industry for Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry. This project started in November 2013 as a technical cooperation project of official development aid (ODA) of Japan aiming to provide a training model of human resources so that Vietnam's education and training institutions can train "skilled and creative engineers and have ability to participate in the industry sector”.

KOSEN creates the technical and theoretical manpower who can produce new ideas, find the cause of problems and solve, and moreover they are good engineers with full of kindness. This is a very necessary human resource in Vietnam at the present time to serve the cause of industrialization and contribute to the development of Vietnam.

According to Mr. Kenji Higashida, CEO of KOSEN, it is a very successful Japan's own industry technical training system. KOSEN has been contributing to the high economic development of Japan based on science and technology. Educational institution, KOSEN model’s education system is a unique feature of Japan. KOSEN educates innovative and practical engineers to solve social problems around the world and create an innovation by the power of technology as a "social doctor". At the same time, it also creates dramatic changes of humanity, organization and society by creating new meaningful social values ​​based on new technologies, new thinking methods ...College systems of Japan is expected to not only bring about new scientific and technological achievements but also to makes our society more active, more creative for a bright future by educating our young people to become world leaders.

Also according to Mr. Kenji Higashida, the Government of Vietnam needs to have a more accurate view of the KOSEN model, take a look at the reality of KOSEN, bring young, passionate lecturers, students to KOSEN. Graduated Vietnamese students of KOSEN is an important human resource, the "social doctor" of Vietnam, KOSEN will become partners with enthusiastic Vietnamese schools.
