Respond to Earth Day – A world without waste

On April 20 at Le Thai To Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) in collaboration with the Center for Environment and Community Research and Hoan Kiem District People's Committee celebrated Earth Day 2019 with the theme "For a world without waste". The event attracted more than 2000 participants.

BOT Transport Project - Issues to be addressed

Implementing policy of the Party and State, from 2011 to now, Transport sector has been mobilized near 200 trillion VND of capital from the private area to invest, develop transport infrastructure system in the form of public-private partnership (PPP). In addition to positive results contributing to promote socio-economic development, reduce public debt pressure, stimulate domestic production, etc. Ministry of Transport has clearly identified some limitations of BOT projects and considered general policies to overcome and ensure the harmony of interests of the State, people and businesses.

Promoting creativity at the Unions of Central, Highland and Southwest provinces

In 2014, in Tuy Hoa City, 8 provinces of the Central, Western Highlands and Southwest of Vietnam signed the cooperation program. Recently, the three-year review conference on the implementation of the cooperation agreement was held in Gia Lai province. The active role performed by regulatory authorities

The Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA), Dr.Sc. Nghiem Vu Khai discussed that, the participation of social-occupational organizations, Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) in environment protection is very important; thus in the upcoming period, it is necessary for the regulatory authorities to be more active, progressive to mobilize and attract the engagement of these organizations.

Promoting start-up based on renovation and creativity

On 11 May 2017 in Hanoi, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) held a seminar on strengthening the role of the associations in combining scientists and enterprises to promote innovation, creativity and start-up. Dr. Sc. Nghiem Vu Khai - Vice President of VUSTA, Delegate of the 14th National Assembly and Dr. Tran Van Minh - Vice Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Science, Technology and Environment and Delegate of the 14th National Assembly presided over the seminar.

Scientists contribute to the national development

Over the last 10 years, on average, VIFOTEC gave awards to around 1,000 people per year, this means that more than 10,000 people have been awarded, which has contributed to motivating and encouraging them to be more creative and dedicated to the country.
