and preventing the production of
Vietnamese fishermen by China.

                        Respectfully to:       -  Government’s Office

                                                      -  Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development                                           Ministry of Foreign Affairs

                                                      - Central Commission for External Relations

As reported by the members and fishermen of Quang Ngai Provincial Fisheries Association, China has recently carried out a series of actions in Paracel and islands Spratly of Vietnam, including the approval of establishment of the Radio-Television of the so-called “Sansha City” and “Sansha” Satellite Television, and the appointment of the China Marine Surveillance fleet – Haijian 83 and Haijian B-7103 Helicopter and ships Haijian 262 and Haijian 263 to patrol in Paracel area, driving away Vietnamese fishing boats working in fishing activity in this area as usual and according to the law (whose number signs are QNg96417TS and Ng96382TS). Most recently, China has assigned the Fishery Science Survey Ship named Nan Feng to survey the fishery resources in the waters of Vietnam’s Spratly.

Vietnam Fisheries Association strongly opposes the aforementioned of and asks China to stop the wrongdoings immediately and make no future deterrence to seafood production and exploitation of Vietnamese fishermen. At the same time, it requires China to stop at once the activities, plans, and projects poaching on the islands Paracel and Spratly under the Vietnam’s sovereignty.

Vietnam Fisheries Association respectfully requests the authorities to denounce and wield drastic and effective measure in order to protect the production and safety of life and property of the fishermen when exploiting in the sea, which should be the contribution into maintaining national security and defense and affirming the national sovereignty over the sea and islands.
