On the evening of December 12, in Hanoi, Vietnam Fund for Scientific and Technological Creations (VIFOTEC) under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education and Training, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union coordinated to organize the Ceremony to summarize and award the 16th National Creative Contest for Adolescents, teenagers, children in 2020.

Attending the ceremony, there were Mr. Phan Xuan Dung, Chairman of the National Assembly's Science, Technology and Environment Committee and leaders of central and local departments, ministries and agencies across the country.

Speaking at the awarding ceremony, President of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, Head of the Prize Organizing Committee, Professor, Dr. Dang Vu Minh emphasized: Creative contest for adolescents, teenagers, children in the whole country is a useful playground to arouse the creative potentials of science and technology in life, study and promote creative thinking of adolescents, teenagers, children; At the same time, it helps them sharpen their knowledge, practice creativity, and build their dreams of becoming future inventors. The competition is for students from 6-19 years old, encouraging young children, children in mountainous, border, island areas...

Congratulating the adolescents, teenagers, children who won the prizes in the contest, comrade Phan Xuan Dung suggested the Organizing Committee to promote propaganda and simplify the contest procedures, so that the adolescents, teenagers, children in the whole country actively can participate in and respond more, thereby creating conditions for them to emulate, learn creatively and fulfill their dreams of becoming future inventors...

According to the assessment of the Organizing Committee: The contest has recorded many specific creative ideas with products and models that are associated with life and environmental protection and demonstrate clearly the ability to apply knowledge learned into practice, creative potential as well as their awareness of the development of the country. 

In 2020, the Organizing Committee received 754 topics from 57 provinces and cities participating in the contest. The Jury has reviewed and evaluated creative models and chose to award 106 models in 5 areas of learning supplies; software; Friendly products with the environment; household tools and children's toys; Technical solutions to respond to climate change, environmental protection and economic development include: 1 Special prize, 5 First prizes, 10 Second prizes, 30 Third prizes, 60 Consolation prizes.

The Special Prize belongs to the model "Cultural Heritage of Dao people in Lao Cai" of the author group of A Mu Sung Semi-boarding Primary and Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities (Bat Xat, Lao Cai).

5 first prizes were awarded to the model "The tool to split cassava stalks" by the group of authors from Vo Thi Sau school, Trang Bom, Dong Nai; "Historical movie theater and puppet theater" by the group of authors from Thinh Quang Primary School, Dong Da, Hanoi; "Multi-purpose water wheel" by the group of authors from Dien Hai Secondary School, Dien Chau, Nghe An; "Model of cutting - chopping, drying, grass/maize combined with solar energy and silage bagging for animal feed" by the group of authors from Cau Giay Secondary School, Hanoi, Pascal Tu Liem Secondary School, Hanoi, Van Dien Town Secondary School, Thanh Tri, Hanoi and Giang Vo Hanoi Secondary School; "Mobility support vehicle for disabled people controlled by head or wrist by the group of authors from Luong The Vinh High School, Ho Chi Minh City. 

The Central Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union officially launched the 17th National Adolescents, teenagers and children Innovation Award in 2021.
